Description

In 2012, the Physical Resources Department of Algoqnuin College entered into an energy savings contract (ESCO2) with Siemens Canada (Siemens) following a public request for proposal process for energy and water savings improvements which would also generate revenue (or create cost savings).

The contract with Siemens allowed for a multi-part contract, and in total 4 separate phases of facilities improvement measures were proposed and accepted by the College. The first phase began in December 2012 and construction is still ongoing for the latter phases of the contract.

Due to the complexity and extended duration of the contract, the College is seeking audit services to complete a review of the contract, energy savings and financial details to ensure that the contract is being upheld and conditions of the contract are being met by all parties.
