17038 - Mechatronics Training System

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit Proposals for the provision and Mechatronics Training System (“Goods”) to support The Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology (“the Purchaser”) as further described in Part 2 – The Deliverables, (“The Deliverables”):
 
The Goods required include:    
 
·         Mechatronic Training System
·         Installation
·         Licensing
·         Training
·         Warranty and Technical Support Program

The Mechatronics Training System must be installed and fully functional. It must allow for  the instruction of the Level 1 of the Siemens Mechatronics Certification Program (SMCP) and allow for its expansion to incorporate the instruction of Levels 2 and 3 of the SMCP, and the future implementation of Industry 4.0 (at the discretion of the Purchaser). Support must be provided for the duration of the Agreement.
The system must be composed of at least movable, separable and independent (enabling autonomous single module operation – detachable and stand – alone), configurable and expandable 6 different modules (with ways of disassembling and mounting new adaptable components), forming a simulated process/production line.
