Description

The purpose of this Pre-Qualification is to solicit proposals from qualified general
contractor companies to provide services for the work as described in Section 5
and for the City of Steinbach to enter into an Agreement with the Proponent
whose proposal is judged to serve the best interests of the City of Steinbach.
The City of Steinbach Aquatic Centre Renovation Project consists of the
following:
 Pool shutdown and construction of temporary scaffolding.
 Removal of existing acoustic baffles that were originally installed at the
opening date of the facility.
 Removal of selected pool lighting, as required.
 Preparation of pool area ceiling decking, OWSJ and selected walls and
columns. Some of these have recently been painted.
 Paint pool area ceiling decking, OWSJ and selected walls and columns. 6.
New acoustic panels for pool area ceiling area. It is anticipated that these
panels will also be used for an indirect lighting application.
 New LED lighting system to be mounted to columns in centre of pool area
and LED Indirect lighting at perimeter of pool tanks (walls).
 Revise location of the Mechanical Return Air system in pool 8. area, in order
to improve the air quality.
 Removal of temporary scaffolding
 Testing/Validating lighting and acoustic levels.
