Description

The Town of Gillam is proceeding with a road and drainage upgrade project within the community. The scope of work consists of re-construction and asphalt paving of approximately 4,700 m of road within the Town of Gillam. Previously produced and stockpiled granular material will be used for road reconstruction and paving works. Works are expected to be tendered in February 2018. The project will be separated into three construction years, starting in summer 2018 with project completion in fall 2020.

Interested General Contractors who have expertise in road re-construction and asphalt paving, specifically in northern communities, are invited to submit one hard copy and one pdf copy of Pre-Qualification Documents, each comprising of the following:

Completed Contractor’s Qualification Statement (CCDC 11-2016), including:
- Resumes of supervisory personnel to be assigned to the project.
- Detailed listing of work to be performed by General Contractor own forces and by sub-contractors.
Specific information on projects (minimum of 3 projects) completed in northern communities.

Any submission failing to comply with all these requirements is subject to disqualification.

General Contractors may be requested to attend an interview with the Town and the Consultant prior to the completion of the pre-qualification process. References will be contacted as part of the evaluation.

Sealed submissions clearly marked:

Pre-Qualification of General Contractors for the Town of Gillam – Municipal Road and Land Drainage Project – Phase 2

One (1) emailed (.pdf) copy of the responding Pre-Qualification package must be received and time and date stamped by the Town of Gillam by no later than 4:00 pm Manitoba local time on January 19, 2018. Late submittals will not be accepted, and will be discarded unopened. Tender shall be emailed to the three addresses below:

One (1) original copy hardcopy and one (1) photocopy of the responding Pre-Qualification package within five (5) business days after the close date. Pre-Qualification package shall be handed in in-person, mailed or couriered to the address below:

In the event of a discrepancy between the emailed electronic copy and the paper copy, the emailed copy shall prevail.

The Town of Gillam reserves the right to accept any or all submissions. Only those general contractors, which the Town of Gillam deemed qualified from this pre-qualification process will be invited to submit tender bids for this project.
