Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) (the “Health Authority”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Symmetric Web Application for Health Authority with an estimated value of $125,000 CAD for one (1) year with the possibility of option years.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

Due to an absence of competition for technical reasons.

Rationale:

Symmetric Health Solutions is the only vendor providing UNSPSC and GMDN classification with a satisfactory matching rate (50%+), critical for optimizing supply chain processes, enabling automation, and improving clinical efficiency through GTIN-based barcode scanning. No other alternative vendor provides the stated support, making Symmetric the sole provider capable of meeting PHSA’s needs effectively.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Aadel Aalinezhad by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, November 29th, 2024. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
