Description

The Scope of Work under this Contract includes the crack cleaning and sealing of various municipal roads and the cleaning and sealing of the municipal airport runway within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Hearst.

The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labour, and related items necessary to complete the work of cleaning the cracks and placing of crack sealant, and including signage and traffic control to municipal roads and the municipal airport runway as shown on the Drawings. If mutually agreeable between parties, the Contract may be renewed under the same or similar terms and conditions for successive one (1) year periods but shall not exceed a total Contract length of five (5) years.

The work shall be completed by September 13th, 2024 and a maximum of twenty (20) working days shall be respected between the beginning and the end of the works.

Directives additionelles d’appel d’offres

The Town of Hearst requires that Tenderers use the two-envelope system to submit their tender.

The first envelope to be opened first shall contain the tender deposit (10% certified cheque or as described in the Tender).
The second envelope shall contain the Tender Form, Standard Tender Requirements, Schedule of Unit Prices, Schedule of Work and any other form as required by the Tender Documents.

Both envelopes are to be sealed and opaque and clearly marked as to the contents.
Envelope #1 –Tender Deposit
Envelope #2 – Form of Tender and other forms
Envelope #1 must contain the Tender Deposit otherwise the Tender will be deemed non-compliant and Envelope #2 will not be opened.

Tenderers shall ensure that the outside of the envelopes bears the Tenderer’s return address and a label clearly identifying the project for which the bid is submitted.
