West Campus Development Trust (the Trust) is inviting interested parties to submit a proposal under this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the provision of SIGNAGE AND WAYFINDING services. These services include research and analysis, strategy development, concept design, detailed design, tendering, fabrication, permitting, and installation. Proposals are to include a list of a comprehensive team to carry out the Scope of Work defined in this RFP.
With a vision for University District to create a complete, vibrant and sustainable community that enhances the University experience, while harmonizing with surrounding neighbourhoods, the Trust is creating a mixed-use urban destination with a combination of residential, retail, office and community uses. With the launch of residential sales and retail leasing well underway, West Campus Development Trust is now looking for a firm to provide a wayfinding and signage strategy for the community which appeals to modern, urban sensibilities. University District has several dedicated walking and cycling paths throughout the community so pedestrian and bike traffic are a priority. Public art and creative placemaking are part of the overall community strategy. Stakeholders include University students, UCalgary faculty and staff, visitors to the area, staff from the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Foothills Medical Centre, the Child Development Centre and the Ronald McDonald House. It also includes new residents to the area along with employees that will occupy both the retail and professional district.
